I've got an old Yashica, but the image is poor. What are the best editors for S8MM when it comes to image quality?

For me it would be the Minette Hervic S5. Glass Screen- great images. But you are limited to 400ft reels so for bigger you can take off the arms and use it with table rewinds.

Thanks.

I am also looking for a regular 8 editor. Any recommendations?

I also recommend the Minette S-5. Minette did release a model that accommodated up to 600ft reels.

Personally I like the Prinz Oxford 800. Large screen and dual guage - Super 8 and Standard/ Regular 8 without having to change gates or sprockets. Focus and framing control.
