Ive just picked up a bolex hifi 1.1 18-28 lens with the idea of using it in my eumigs,are they the same as the eumig 1.1 lens as it has the same screw type barrel and they look the same but although it fits in all my eumigs it will not go back far enough to come in to focus as the focus ring seems to be in the way.My question is which projectors will it fit.It came of a non working bolex 18-9.Would it fit a bolex 18-3 as these seem to be similar to a eumig 610.

It does fit a Eumig 710D and It will focus in a Noris 410/412, but the side will not fit completely back on, though it might with modification. I haven't tried with anything else.

Thanks brian, i have a noris 410, i just tried it in that and its a big improvement over the original lens.would like to find a duel silent or sound machine that it will also fit as well.

Somewhere I have a Bolex Hi-Fi lens that I took off my 18-5 standard 8 projector about 40 years ago. I can't now recall if this was a prime or zoom therefore I can't be absolutely certain of a fit for you with an 18-5, although I understand they did do a Super 8 version..

I have successfully mated a Bolex Hi-Fi f/1.3 lens, from a 18-5, to fit into the lens barrel on my Elmo FP8-C Dual projector. The results upon projection are simply amazing! The sharpness and clarity are better than any other lens I've used in the past. As many here might know, the lenses on the Elmo FP series projectors have become bad with age. Many suffer from fungus and other issues. The Bolex Hi-Fi lens fits nice and snug! For anyone interested, I did a YouTube review about my Elmo projector. I must caution though, I fumbled a few of my lines, and descriptions throughout the video so don't judge too much ha.
