Hello all.

Came across a weird eBay listing last week that was on a 10" reel, labeled as Return of the Jedi, and had a side marker saying it was Scope and ran 45:55. I had hoped that it was some sort of digest, but alas it turns out to be the last 46 minutes of the film (including full ending credits). Here's some screen grabs.

So because my film knowledge is limited, can anyone tell who released this print? Obviously it's just an odd reel from a full feature, but it had a splice every ten minutes or so whenever there was a reel change cue mark. I also do not possess a Scope lens so I have no way of projecting it properly. But it seems the color has held up, so I'm assuming its on low fade or LPP polyester or mylar stock? (I don't really know the difference.)

This sounds similar to an eBay listing I won back in 2005. Here's a thread about that experience.

It does sound very much like it! Except there's no Jabba's palace section. It starts right as the Rebels try and enter the base on Endor.

But what was said about the splices is very true. It's the smoothest I've ever had run through my projector. And for some reason, whoever put this together spliced on what looks like the Star Wars logo crawl from a Ken's Star Wars digest that is completely red.
