I have recently rescued my parents Chinon 6100 Sound projector and a number of old holiday reels.
I have the projector working well no issues. The problem is no sound. I have checked the volume controls and also checked that the internal speaker is connected with no welding issues.
Any ideas what else I could possibly check. I have tried it with a number of films all of which is the same so believe the issue is the projector.

Andrew Without a film, operate the red recording button a few times. This will help "clean" the corroded changeover switch connections. It may be as simple as that. Without a film, mind you!

Had you tried the external "source",such as microphone? Even without ext. input,it is still possible to test by dialing the volume to the max level. There should be some hiss/hum barely audible from the speaker.
If yes,at least that ruled out any amplifier/speaker issue. But if no...then we've got a real big problem then.
