Roger spent the last year or more working on an upgrade to the hardware and software of his RetroScan Universal capture unit.
I haven't received the new 2k camera yet, but I downloaded the software. Lots more export options and higher resolution in both MOV and AVI formats along with the JPEG and BMP images.
Definitely worth the wait.
As soon as I get the camera and check it out I will let you know.

I have been playing with both 8mm and 16mm films now, and I get a great capture from the Universal unit.
2048x1536 resolution to AVI or MOV or plain old JPEG files.
Expensive, but worth it.

Maybe we should be sending work to you! With all the recent discussion of the Wolverine unit, it needs to go on the record that the MovieStuff results blow Wolverine out of the water. (It also goes without saying that you get what you pay for.)
