I need help to figure out to replace the motor belt for my Bolex Paillard M8 projector. Hoping someone here has the ideas or the knowledge!

My theory and attempt so far:
I have loosen the three screws, marked on the picture, to loosen the metal pole and push it in the right direction to release it on the left side. But unfortunately the pole cannot be pushed enough to leave up a space where to insert my new belt.

Looking forward to all of your knowledge!

You may want to invest in a service manual for this projector. Looking at your photo it does look quite difficult to replace a belt. I'm sure someone will chime in here with an answer. In the meantime this thread might be of some help. http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007158

Thanks Shane. Do you know where to find a service manual? I have the user manual, but it doesn’t say how to replace the belt…

Your best bet is to check eBay. Sometimes service manuals show up there. If that proves difficult then try a Google search to see if someone has one for sale.
