I was looking for L&H Blockheads.
What I could find is two versions, of which I'm not sure which has the best chance of a good picture.

The first is Walton with:
Nr. 761
The next I don't know but it has:
Nr. 1030

Has anyone got an idea?

I have a Walton print and it is nice and sharp! I also had a blackhawk print! I think the Walton print is better! A Hilarious comedy!

All I can say is I have a Blackhawk print of this and it's a bit soft where sharpness is concerned. (It's the kind of "soft" I'd never show to an audience.)

-funny: I saw it unbid on E-bay and I bid the minimum. I thought "I'll never get it.", but I did.

-it's almost as if they knew!

I have this and it and we feel it is a nice clear clean print, from BLACKHAWK!
I am running on my ST1200HD and elmo 1.1 lens, so not even the best lens and very clear. I have no snapshots as of yet, just wanted to mention blackhawk has some clear prints.

Its good to hear that you have a good blackhawk print! Because some were on the soft side!

There is also the version of i.e. international (3 x 120 meters). I had the "pack up your troubles"-edition in a similar box of the same distributor, quality was good, a bit light black tones though.

I think Derann released it? I have a Derann print of The Chimp and it is excellent! That's my only Derann Laurel and Hardy!

Could someone put up screenshots of they're Walton "Blockheads"?

I have this Blackhawk print as well and yes, it is a bit soft, focus-wise, but then most Blackhawk features of the lads were that way, (glad to have them, though!).

Strangely, I have seen some bluray copies of this and apparantly, even the masters used for that bluray were not all that super sharp, (well, at least not what we are used to when it comes to old classics released on bluray).

I personally think that the BEST Laurel and hardy feature that I have ever seen on super 8 is "Saps at Sea", which has a very nice sharp focus whgich i found unusual for the Lads features!
