Hi,

My wife got some items of her late father’s out of storage which includes a Hanimex Dual Matic projector and dozens of reels of film from her childhood. The projector hasn’t been used for at least 30 years and I have never used a cine projector of any kind before, but I managed to work out enough to load a real of film and play it.

However, I’m not absolutely certain that I have the film running through all of the correct rollers and I’m not sure what one or two of the controls do.

Does anyone know where I might find some instructions for the projector?

Thanks
Rob

I don't know this projector but I have found a picture and details.

https://www.filmkorn.org/super8data/database/projectors_list/projectors_hanimex /hanimex_500.htm

Having examined the picture I can give you the following details.

Left Knob = Forward/Reverse, with motor and motor/lamp.
Right Knob = Speed control.
Bottom Sliding Knob = Super 8 or Standard 8.
Higher Sliding Knob = Framing of picture.
Round Knob = Focus.
Knob At Front = Hand rotation of mechanism.

I hope this may help you.
