I'm reviewing many reels of 70-80 year-old 8mm, mostly in bad condition. Probably should start cleaning the projector between reels: e.g., film path, rollers, etc. No manual for this machine. Could anyone advise how to proceed? Thank you.

It would be best to clean the film first. I recommend finding a film viewer/editor. But general cleaning can be done using 91% alcohol on a Q-tip to clean off rollers and the gate. I would blow any hair or fuzz with canned air. Some use small soft brushes to clean the gate...but I've found it can bend the claw if not careful...so I prefer canned air.

If you would like an owners manual...PM me. I can provide you a PDF version.

That was the info I was hoping for: I didn't know how to clean film (without spending $) but now I do. Thank you very much!

PM sent.
