Hi Doug and Brad,

Following Paul's post asking about ilm Price Guide, I got an idea if we can have a sticky post to be used for a Film Price Guide.

Any member can ask here certain titles of his/her interest and other member can give the idea what the value of it/them based on the market value.

By having this, he/she can place a maximum bid at the best possible (if it is ebay related) or make a good bargain of items he/she found at local market.

Member who gives the answer is supposed to give the price guide in a range, eg. $5 - $9.

Finally, we all understand that there should be a deviation of the mentioned price guide by +/- 20%, reserved for the physical condition of the item offered.

ps: To avoid any mishap/misunderstanding, giving the link of item being asked is not allowed.

What do you think Mr Moderator to stick this post?

Hi Winbert,

Any member can post asking the value of a certain film. I think individual postings using the title of the film in the subject draw more attention than having a query hidden in a sticky post category.

The problem is,what is worth one figure to one collector may not for others. An example, the 200ft Plan 9 on ebay to me is worth,tops,$20.If someone winds up paying over $100 for it in the end. That doesn't set the value of the film, only the value to that collector.

John, that what Film Price Guide is for.

We are all here know as a film collector this title will not go for more than $20. We knew that because we are almost 24 hours/day 356 days/year living with films [Wink] ...

And who is watching Ebay everyday will know how often this title come up on Ebay. [Smile]

That 200 feet films sold for more than @100 must be purchased by non-film collector or someone who did not know that 200 feet is only 7-10 minutes show. [Big Grin]

Doug, I got your point.

cheers,
