Hi Everyone- I figured that since everyone is putting out their want lists I would put mine out too. I always heard about a copy or two existing but I never actually heard of anyone owning one.
Now that I know this one really exists I am hoping someone would like to part with theirs. That is one of my favorite films of all time and it would be a dream to have that on Super 8 Scope! I have some great titles to trade if the prospective seller wants to go that route.

I seem to remember Chip Gelmini listing that among his features he owned some time ago. I think it came from Jef Films.

As far as I know these were never made available for sale and where only given to VIP's at the premiere of the first Superman Movie by Richard Donner, that's what I heard

I'd tend to agree with that assessment Peter based on what I've seen over the years.

Yes it is true that it may be very difficult to find but then again.. you never know when your dream film will pop up! I have Superman in Optical Feature and its very good but I would love to have a scope version. And I never even knew an Optical Superman feature existed!

The 35mm prints we showed on its first release were grainy as hell in parts.
I wonder if an 8mm print has improved on this ? [Big Grin] [Wink] [Wink] [Wink]

Yes but there is grain and there is GRAIN !
We found it to be totally unacceptable for a 35mm print. [Smile]

How about 16mm prints? I know that they exist Superman 2,3 and 4 in 16mm LPP scope. From the first Superman I saw only pan and scan faded prints and once an LPP pan and scan print.

If a 16mm Scope Version was out there with good color I would love it!
