The funny thing is that my print of "Moreau" is about an 8 out of 10 on color, but if i can upgrade, of course, so do. This print was kind of interesting as, there were two versions ...
There was a U.K. version and a U.S. version. The K version had more of the "naughty" scenes (so to speak, pretty tame though) between York and Carerra, where the S version didn't.
Also, I've noticed on my print that the color can vary a good deal from shot to shot. early on, when York is on the boat at the beginning, the first shots have him rather pinkish in the face, color wise, the very next shot of him after a shot of the land, has very nice colors for the faces as well as the ocean, so the color kind of ranges all over the place.
If I can find a good print, however, I'll try to find it as, this was a film that had a very rich color scheme overall and a very nice film to look at. The last one fourth of the film, however, has always had rather bland color overall. Ive had three prints of this film on super 8, and that least reel of the film has always looked mediorcre but still, one of my favorites from back then.
