I need some! I'd like to buy at least 3. If anyone can sell me these I'd be most grateful. I take any reasonable (Semi-Reasonable for that matter) offer. Thanks in advance.

Why does it have to be the Elmo spools? These are quite difficult to find but I do think they are the same as the Schneider spools but made with Elmo on them instead.

What about the Grasso Italian spools which Derann sell and supply a lot of their 600ft films on?

I didn't realise that Grasso were still in business Kevin. Is this NOS, or are Derann getting fresh supplies I wonder?

Anyone got any contact details for Grasso (assuming that they are still going)?

As far as I know they are still going. Certainly the ones Derann sell are new. Why not get them from Derann?

Reels found!

I'm also looking for a new black fuse/plug bezel for an Elmo St-1200.If anybody reading this that's got one to sell let me know how much. I got the reels from an eBay guy I know. I Paid through the nose of course.

Why Elmo Spools?

Yes an explanation is order Kevin. I've come across 5 Elmo projectors and 3 of them don't have take-up reels. Due to my perfectionist personality I wanted Elmo take-up reels - I'm currently in treatment for Pain in the A@s disorder [Wink] . These Elmos are going to be listed on eBay in about a 2 months to make sure everything maintenance wise is done. In addition to the 5 projectors I recently bought an Elmo 912S sound film viewer/editor (made by Goko). I've got the ST1200D and I had the plug changed but the label bezel for the plug/and fuse doesn't look very good. The old plug was the elusive 3 prong cord nobody can find (I looked) so it's changed to a regular IEC plug like the rest of the Elmos. I'm sure belts are needed for the other 3 but they all work great.I'm happy with my own Elmo ST1200D although if one of these was magnetic/optical I'd keep it. So I'm going to auction them off; I went to college to finish my degree in Communications and I got lots of student loans to pay. Thanks for responding.

Yes I too am the same. I prefer to keep the genuine spools and accessories with my machines.
The Elmo badged spools are quite difficult to track done except for the 1200ft metal spools but even they are starting to get difficult to find. Elmo didnt tend to sell the 400 and 600ft spools as seperate items but did sell the 800 and 1200ft spools. I think that there were so many other companies selling the smaller spools that Elmo didnt bother with them but not that many manufactures sold the larger ones so Elmo made a killing with them and they were also some of the best spools available.

Your Elmo projectors should sell quite well. The ST1200 range were made like battle ships and most are still going strong.

Best of luck raising the finances to pay off your student loan but I would suggest offering the gear on here first. That will save the eBay fees etc if they sell via the forum where we dont take a cut for the privilege.
