I converted this to take a much less expensive MR16 Halogen lamp.
It's listed on ebay.

Thank you!

Hi PatD Ok I hit the Buy it now button -- Now how do I pay for it? I have the same projector so will try to convert it to your lamp style.

HI Bruce

Thanks for buying it. You can get the bulb (JCR 12v 150w)from bulbamerica.com or ebay. I will include the box for the bulb for reference. If I can find the website for the socket I will let you know. I lost it. But you can google mr16 bi-pin socket and find it. They cost around 7.00. If I can help you just ask.

PS Here is the website to buy the socket with mount.

http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/HLP-710/HALOGEN-LAMP-AND-MOUNTIN G-FRAME/1.html

All I did was tin the ends with solder and push them into the pinholes in the old socket. To mount the socket just remove the right hand screw and mount the socket. Done! The bulb that comes with it is no good for this application. THe halogen is 120v 150 wt. Nice and bright.
