I did a comparison test recently between my Eumig S807DLux and an S938 and, of course, the S807D wins hands down in terms of picture quality as the other projector only has a f1.3/14-30 lens. I really like the S938 machine, however, and would like to upgrade it if possible. Does anyone have a lens for sale that would suit?

Gary, if you are lucky you might be able to find a Schneider Xenovaron 1.1 lens with the Eumig pin for your 938. They're not very common though, but the picture with them is very impressive indeed. I've got one in my 936 (it replaced a 1.2 Eumig lens from a S940 I had in there) and gives a sharp, bright image.

Thanks for the responses.

I had actually browsed through that thread previously but to be honest I'm quite the novice when it comes to lenses. I did find one of the lenses you mentioned on eBay...

But not sure if the barrel size will be compatible. What do you think?

the bauer lens is a different mount,so no use in the 938.
if it was me,i would settle for the f1.2 eumig lens from a 940,very good quality and nice big picture.

David, John said there is a special version of the Schneider Xenovaron 1.1, which is specifically designed to work on the Eumig 9xx Series. I have one on my 940 and it is spectacular: a noticeable improvement over the original Eumig Suprogon 1.2 and much better than the OLS 1.3

Maurizio,
yes there was a version of the Schneider lens made for the eumig 938/940 ,but the e bay link you show is for the bauer version of this lens, and that wont fit the eumig.
also,a 28mm barrel version of the Schneider lens was available with various sleeves to fit most projectors, and this would now be a great solution,if you could find one with the correct sleeve.sorry, correction,i meant the link Gary showed.
