Hi guy's,do any of you sort of suffer with this if you have'nt bought anything film wise for a length of time? I suppose you sort of get hooked on the sheer excitement of a new purchase, you can't wait to feel that print between your fingers knowing you have never projected that particular feature before, well I think I may have this problem. I think I need to purchase some more fims asap. Come on hurry up Blackpool I need another fix.

Well I know how you feel because I discovered that the best way to battle withdrawal symptoms is actualy by buying more prints...
That being said, anyone here whises to part with their feature prints of HALLOWEEN or THE FOG ?

I know what you mean Alexander, I'm more into 70's and 80's horrors and even bigger named films which I'm afraid are either hard to get hold of in excellent condition or the other end good codition but turned red. I can't really bring myself to buy faded films no matter how big the title is,also finances is another factor as most good titles come at very high prices.

Boy, isn't that the truth. Well, there's always B&W!
I kinda experience what you're describing because, in my family, our enjoyment of film is seasonal. So it feels like I get it out of my system, and then a few months later, enjoy breaking it all out again even more for having been away.

I have a cure Nick! Get along to the North West Film Fair on the 13th Nov 2011, sunny Blackpool at The Cliffs Hotel as it is known to cure just about all film collecting conditions.
Your post reminds me a few years ago stood at another southern film event saying there wasn’t much on sale of interest to me, then having just spouted that I turned and spotted within a pile of films a feature I had been hunting for what must have been 30 years which I quickly purchased from its seller. Just goes to show how things turn up when we least expect them.
