Barry
I don't know your particular variant. I have an Elmo-16F, so I assume yours may be a later model.
The black TQIII is a much later model and in my opinion more superior. And spares are still mostly obtainable for it.

I have a black 1698 TQ111 in fabulous condition and they are hard to beat. The one downside is the worry of the wormgear, which can be replaced, but an expensive repair. If it ever failed I'm sure I would get Kevin Brown to do the job because it is definitely worth the expense and would keep it running for many years to come.

Indeed.
Kevin Brown has access to a good stock of spares for the modern 16mm Bell & Howell projectors. Changing a worm is as simple to him as drinking a cup of tea. [Smile]

I have loads of spares for the bell and howell and elf motors amps worm gears etc and can also fit worm gears and fully service most makes of projectors with over 30 years experience with I learned from my father who had dealt with films and projectors over 70 years and he also a handful of cinemas dotted around Lancashire in the late 60s early 70s
