Hey everyone,

Just wondering if there is a preferred method of flattening bent film? It's not warped.. just bent in a couple spots in the start of the reel. Thanks!

This won't totally flatten out the film but if you take the film where it is bent and put it between a cloth on a hard surface like a table then with an iron and lots of pressure iron out the film. DO NOT iron the film directly. You must have a cloth between the iron and the film. And no steam. Try it on a leader first.

Thanks for that tip Larry. That had really never crossed my mind. I tried it out on the lowest setting tonight with some leader. Made several test bends to see how it would react, and was pleased with the results. You can still see where it was bent, but at least its flat enough to make it through the gate.
