Don't know whether to be sad or happy at this announcement. Bet George Lucas wishes he asked for more money. His $4 billion is going to look like a bargain by the time Disney have squeezed out the last dollar from merchandising .
Universal have done the most amazing job on Harry Potter in Florida - was there this time last year..amazing a whole littel worl with a seemingly genuine recreation of King's Cross station taking you between parks. It is difficult to describe unless you have been there.
As for the "Star Wars and Disney"...well been to the Disney parks a few time's - in my opinion nowhere near in the same league as Island of Adventure or Universal...So I think that Lucas...and he is "canny" money wise probably made a clever decision.
I think "Starwars" has run it's course...it is catch up to convert the new kids..who already have "Marvel" and "Potter".. My lad who is 15 likes Star Wars..but nowhere near as much as Marvel/DC characters...his mates all agree. So it will be interesting to see...

It's been many years since I last visited Florida and it's truly superb theme parks but my guess is The Star Wars attraction will be amazing there. Florida and the U.S. in general, does all of these theme parks to a level way beyond anything elsewhere on the planet in my experiences.
