I've just seen a tease trailer for "Ice Age 3", but what made me laugh was the coming SUMMER 2009 , not this summer, but next bloody year, have they only started work on it or what? I don't think the young kids in the audience realised that they may not see this for another 15-18 months, which makes me wonder what some of these so called executives at these big film studios are doing, OK we all know the characters from this series, but to my mind this very early trailer, is way to soon to promote a Summer '09 movie, and young kids will be expecting this soon, not next year.

I'm not sure, but when a studio has a "sure thing", they like to promote it as soon as possible, so as to promote every single God knows what toy, game ect. out there.

Your right though, awful bloody early! The Indy 4 trailers only started showing up November of last year.

The first teaser for The Da Vinci Code came out before they had started shooting any of the scenes... pretty cool actually

Barry: Pixar have always been doing this. The teaser for Wall-E was available prior to Ratatouille's release last year. I guess this is another fine example of the locomotive theory.

I really do like those "Ice Age" trailers I have "Ice Age 2" on 35mm its like a mini short in itself "Ice Age 3" is no exception poor old Scrat is still having little luck with his acorn, [Big Grin] its an excellent trailer but the one to look out for is the Scope trl of Wall-E "long version" its brilliant. I wonder if anyone can pick out the music from "The Great Escape" I hope this one gets released on Super8. Wall-E looks like a good family film that all ages will enjoy.
