Wow, I didn't know they re-released "Creature." I saw "House of Wax" in its theatrical re-release and it was polarized, not anaglyph. It looked great.

Yeah Kurt, Creature was reissued as was "It Came From Outer Space" - saw that too but they only played the small screen Cineplex's whereas House OF Wax went to the big screen and I remember it doing very well.

And here's some more you might have seen!

Terry,
Thanks for the gruesome memories... [Eek!]

The only one of those I actually sat through was "Comin' at Ya!" and in the way of such trash, there was one scene I never did forget:
A man gets impaled with a hollow metal pole, and the camera dollies in and lingers, with the end of the (3-D) pole right in the viewer's face.
After a long moment, the guy's blood starts dripping from the end of the pipe, seemingly inches from your face...somewhere between sick and effective.. [Big Grin]

Most likely we will have some sort of current-day equivalent with ghastly films riding on nothing but the fact that they are in 3-D.

You can't beat the posters, though; they're easily as garish as anything American International did in their heyday.

Claus.

Terry,

Great clippings! I also went to see many of these. Comin' At Ya! and Treasure of the Four Crowns were made by the same folks and I remember that there are actually only three crowns in the film! I also believe Comin' At Ya! had a scene where a baby's bottom is thrust at the camera!

I think there's room for just one more film.....

That's funny about Comin' At Ya!
I wasn't able to see that one as it was Restricted and in 82 I wasn't 18 yet!
Was that even ever put out on VHS?

Cheers

Ah, I remember one of the 'reamurging' 3D films from 1982, 'Space Hunter, Adventures in the Forbidden Zone'. Molly Ringwald.

Spacehunter! That's the futuristic sci-fi film where you can see a distinctly 20th century parking lot in the background of one of the effects shots.

Oh, really???? I only watched it once, when I got the lens calibrated, had to screen the print. I did not care for the film, and probably feel asleep during the parking lot scene???
