I wondered if anyone might know exactly what sort of black paint manuafacturers use on the border of roll up or tripod screens? I need to do some work on one that will need some extra paint. I once followed up a tip and used matt black spray on car paint, which was OK, but it was a bit more reflective than I would have liked, despite being black.

Adrian, if you are up for spending a little extra...there is black velvet tape for projection screens on fleabay.

I often wondered if this stuff would do just as well.

Wayne - thanks for the suggestion, which I'm seriously considering. I hadn't thought of tape in view of it being a basic roll up screen (not spring loaded). But as the tape comes on a roll, I suppose there's no reason to assume that a screen could not be rolled up with the tape on it.
