Just been listening to the CD version of one of the most popular records of the 70s. I first heard it when I was flating way back in 1976 In this small flat was an American an Aussie a New Zealander and me Scottish it was like the United Nations gone wrong, however one guy had a good sound system and "Hot August Night" and even to this day I enjoy it. Although it was to be many years before I bought the LP and of late the DVD of his 2008 New York concert. Its excellent by the way...so who can reflect back to that 70s era? or were many of you here, to young to remember it.
Going of topic slightly, one movie I watched back then at the cinema was "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" an unusual film beautifully filmed with outstanding music by Neil Diamond, its unfortunate on the dvd release the soundtrack is only mono. Recorded on the 24th August 1972 at the Greek Theatre, Los Angles.
Graham.
