has anybody on here used this software i am trying to record some of my vinyl to my pc but cannot get anything to record i am using a usb phonolink from my turntable to the usb device and using adacity to record but when i hit record there is nothing showing up on screen.

Hi Jim , ive used this software and its excellent considering its free !!!!,however i've not used it to record from an external source like your doing so i'm not familiar with this problem your having but to say that you need to make sure the capture card in your comp is capable of doing this and the software can see it to record it.I'll see if i can reproduce what your doing tonite and see what happens. Audacity is a software that enables you to Record audio through your computer's ANALOGUE inputs... not via a USB dongle. Connect your Vinyl phono leads to the "Line IN" jack on your compurter rear panel.

It realy is excellent software.

Martin, It turns out this pre-amp has a small volume control on the side which i did not see all works fine.
