I recently bought reel 1 of a 2 reel abridged version of the 1922 film Nosferatu. I can't seem to find the second reel anywhere... The film was manufactured by Blackhawk fims, but they seem to be up and gone... The reels are both 1x400.

If anyone could point me in the right direction as to where to get the second reel, it would be greatly appreciated

Fergus :)

Well, Blackhawk went "up and gone" in 1985, mostly - The only way to locate prints are through these forum pages, "live" shows and other dealers - Shorty

The Collectors Club version is on 6 X 200ft reels and a longer fuller version. It came in Reg 8 and Super 8, but the reg 8 is regarded as a much better UK print.

That is true Lee,I don't know about the US,but over here direct
reductions could be done without the need for the extra stages
required for S/8,thus the std 8mm print usually had the edge
on it's counterpart.
