After finding a lens that Maurice kindly offered advice on
the bidding price went out of mt budget. There is a similar one
called KOWA PROMINAR ANAMORPHIC 16-D LENS SCREW MOUNT. Which is different to the other as it isn't 8Z (which I think could be for 8mm use). Am I right in saying that 16D means 16mm and will this lens work fine for my S940 after finding a attachment.
Also I believe the rear diameter of the lens is about 42mm and the S940 is around 34mm will this cause an issue.
Thanks for listening and any advice is appreciated.
Regards Garry.

The type of lens that you need are in great demand, hence the high prices. You will really need to find a "Buy It Now" and consider whether the asking price is within your budget. Watching sales with bids can be very disheartening when the bids go up and up.

Have you thought about getting a cheap 35mm Scope lens?. With all the digital cinema conversions going on, there should be heaps around. I can focus mine down to 7 meters and it works fine. If you can get one for peanuts it might be worth trying.

Graham.
