If possible can anyone tell me if they have tried connecting the line outputs 1&2 (MONI) to an amplifier to play back stereo. I've heard it works but is it a low volume input to the amp. Sorry for the rush but I need to find out very soon.
Thanks for any help. Garry.

Yes I have tried it, it works and it is low volume.

It is also fixed volume, so you need to control the volume at the speakers from the amplifier.

This really should be 8mm Forum, not General Yak.

Hey Steve. That's interesting that it's fixed volume. When you raise the volume from the amp, do you hear a lot more hiss and background noise?

No,

The signal itself is actually pretty clean. Then again being such low level it is more vulnerable to external noise.

The problem for me is my amp and projectors are located about 15 feet apart and changing the volume is such a pain in the butt I usually just use the monaural aux. out (which is controlled from the projector's volume knob...) instead.

I have my eye on this small mixer panel which should allow me to connect in the mono and stereo outputs of several projectors, have a basic graphic equalizer on each channel and volume control right with the machines.
