In the week that has followed since Sony Pictures was hacked, possibly with insider help, five of the company's films have been leaked and downloaded online, reports "Variety".

DVD screener versions of new titles, "Fury", Annie", "Mr. Turner", "Still Alive", and "To Write Love on Her Arms" have been doing the rounds on file-sharing networks.

As of 30th November 2014, "Fury" has been downloaded 1.2 million times, whilst "Annie" has crossed 206,000 downloads.

My comment here is that it would have been safer it they had been on 35mm film!

It is quite true and I have to admit, I have been tempted to download HD copies of feature films, but have only , personally chosen to download those that are HD that are public domain titles. This is really because, as an artist, I get pretty pissed when people can download my music videos, enjoy my music, and yet, never download the audio singles, (which I tend to have a link to on many of my videos). So folks enjoy my music, while I and my family go to the poor house.

Yeah, I understand. You tube is a great place to advertise your work as an independent artist without a label, but it's a double edged sword in that folks can download your music willy nilly and not pay you a penny.

That6's why the mixes for my music videos are not the fully produced album versions, so that those who would truly like to hear my music on a good "hi-fi" unit at home, can enjoy what the "download junkies" ... can't!

However, it could be said that SOMEONE has taken the time to release HD versions of films and also deserve to make they're buck for they're work. Now, I'm even re-thinking my own policy!

Grrr, sometimes it's a pisser to have a conscience!

Sony has lost a lot of money with this! Yeah, it's a big company, but it's still theft.
