I'm sure hoping that you all defrost a little bit by the time of the Syracuse Cinefest. It is a dangerous crazy thing for a Texan to be driving around in the snow.

I have friends down near Brownsville who have an SUV...

-no snow, no hills, and not even enough rainfall to have mud!

(I'm not sure what they're ready for, but they're ready for it!)

Are you going to Mustang it up to Syracuse?

Hey Steve, yea. Heading up Interstate 81. Last year after the Cinefest I drove into New England and visited the cities of Salem MA, Newport RI, and Mystic Ct.

Enjoyed my visit.

Have to love New England!

-It's worth the trip just for the food!

Today just may be the coldest day of my entire life! (Speaking as someone who went to Russia in February once...). I went out to the car this morning and saw "0 F" (That's ZERO Farenheight!) on the dashboard. I also had a tire pressure warning, I took a look and I didn't have any flats, so I headed out for work. The going was kind of bumpy for a couple of blocks until the rubber warmed a little and the flat spot from being parked got round again. A couple of miles later the pressure warning canceled as the air in the tires heated up and expanded.

I am done with this winter...unfortunately I don't think it's done with me!!

I feel for you. This is the ugliest winter in a long time. I am so glad I live where I do. It is a little breezy here but the temperature is 66 degrees. Suppose to get a little colder in a day or so but no freezing weather.

I think it is warmer in Siberia than in the Northeastern U.S.

Yes, back about 20 years ago I had a job where the design work was done up here, but the factories were in South Texas, eastern Mexico, Tucson, San Diego and Tijuana.

Not a bad deal: ten weeks of interesting work followed by a week at the factory to start production, along with dinner out every night, often among friends from work.

-always better right around this time of the year!

July?...not so much!

We had visitors from the plant in eastern Mexico (Reynosa) once in November. One of them said "I want to see some snow: My Mom said she saw some once, but I haven't ever!". (Snow usually starts after Christmas here, he was just too early.)
