Robert Osborne, avid classic movie fan, the congenial host of Turner Classic Movies, and a columnist for The Hollywood Reporter has passed away at the age of 84. He will be greatly missed both on TCM and in print.

I will miss Robert Osborne on TCM. The good feelings one would get when watching him as host are priceless. I appreciated his encyclopedic knowledge of film history and all his contributions.

I am going to miss him more than words can say. I always envied him because he had my dream job. I fantasized that one day I'd get to sit with him and talk movies. Now I know that it will never happen. RIP
