Hi admin,

Why do the links in the notifications not link to the new post but to the 1st post of the whole thread. Did I miss a setting?

Cheers

Berend,

Yes, the links on the "Today's Active Topics" page will take you to the start of the thread. If you go to the Home page or the individual Forum pages and click on the blue arrow after the Topic name, you will be taken to the most recent post.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for your reply. When I click the link in the e-mail notification I'm directed to the first post in its thread.

Hello,

A user has replied to a topic you created at 8mm Forum. Here are the details:

Why not redirect to the new post itself?

I haven't used this feature in years. Honestly I'm not sure if it will direct to the most recent post or not. This forum's software was heavily reprogrammed to behave in various ways to improve it, but that wasn't part of the updates and I no longer have access to those programmers.

When you close your browsers (all of them if you have more than one open) and then you go back to the 8mm forum, does it ask you to login? If so that's why it can't redirect automatically. You would need to store your login info in your browser and then it might be able to. (Someone may want to test this.)
