Hi all,

I'm dizzy from reading about all the different types of projectors and I'd like to find a forum like this one with friendly, knowledgeable people on the subject.

Any recommendations?

Thanks much

Whoops - just saw the post by Graham - reading now.

Bill, I think this is a good forum to discuss digital projectors (in the YAK section of course, not the 8mm section). A lot of people here run digital alongside film, so they have a lot of experience with both technologies, and are in a perfect position to judge the merits of various digital projectors to produce the most film-like images.
We have long past the time when digital was a verbotten subject on this forum (not that it was ever a policy of the forum). So fire away with your questions, as I say just keep it out of the film sections

Bill, I think Paul is right; many of us here have owned various types of projectors, both film and digital and can advise you on the pros and cons.

Personally, my choice for domestic video projection is JVC D-ILA.

Not a brand you'd think of first, and not cheap, but very definitely the best for black levels and a filmic quality.

Actually, the technologies fall into a pretty small choice, each with their own merits and issues.
