I don't collect 16MM as a general rule, and this is WAAAAY above what i could ever afford, but here is an actual analglyphic 3D feature of "Revenge of the Creature", complete with screenshots!

Once Universal corrected the error made issuing the 2018 3D Blu-Ray low quality side by side the 2nd issue is well worth having and from a excellent scan as well. On a 10ft projected image and real 3D as opposed to anaglyph bit of a no brainer.
This sort of stratospheric price for any old 16mm film is really stretching a point. Nice to see it was actually printed up to 16 tho.

I always regretted not buying the 16mm digest of ‘creature’’ The dealer told me the picture was no better than the super 8 prints so I saved money and went for the smaller gauge. Now looking at the fade that’s destroyed the 3D effect my regret is very much less.

Now is the time to look out those old 3D glasses in order to get the full benefit of those 3D Ebay screenshots.

About 10 years ago Derann reprinted the Universal S8 400ft anaglyphic digest of Creature From The Black Lagoon on low fade color stock. I purchased a copy and the 3D is quite good, although I would have preferred a 2D black and white print.

All the outdoor and underwater shots of the film were done at Wakulla Springs in North Florida. A few years ago I met Ginger Stanley at a special 35mm showing of Creature From The Black Lagoon. Ginger was one of the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs in Florida, and was the underwater double for Julia Adams in the film. She was kind enough to sign the box cover of my U8 digest.

One of the things that 8mm has over 16mm is the very attractive packaging and art work of many of the films, and the U8 digests are a prime example.

I remember that, while the above water shots on that digest seemed quite "iffy", the underwater shots were absolutely GREAT, with a lot of deapth and really showed off 3D for all it's worth!

By the way, one of those screenshots on that auction is one of Clint eastwoods very first film appearances as one of the doctors/scientists!

I tried viewing the screen shots with anaglyph 3D glasses and didn't cancel out. So it was a double image.
