I came accross the abreviation c. followed by 1940 but I cannot find a "translation" of the c. I thought of 'circa" (latin for around) but I'm not sure at all, due to the sentence, that it's that. If someone could help

No, Maurice, the copyright symbol exists also in French (athough copyright is an English word). The sentence is : "Release 4513 coincides with the outbreak of the Second World War but the series continues up to the time production ceased c.1940 and also after post-war production resumed." I thought an actual precise date was known, hence the doubt I had with the word "circa".
