This year, Germany is the organizator.I used the present as the festival is still being held (until tomorrow) at Saarburg. For reasons too long to report here, I could only attend the first two days and had to leave at 4.30 pm in the afternoon (yesterday). Sadly, they started with digital projections so I saw only...one 9.5 film (but at least a 16 mm film was projected on Friday night. I will not comment about that, I just hope that next year, as France organizes the festival, digital will be banned or be clearly separated from the film projections.

The 16 mm projector used on Friday night to show us a film about the area. The film was in German but it was about white wine and not too dificult to follow with the pictures.

Mister Otte, the organizator. He is the fantastic man who reperfors 9.5 filmstock from 35 mm.

The 9.5 projector. Sadly, digital films were shown before the 9.5 films otherwise I could have been able to watch all the films in competition. It was first said that films would be screened first but that has changed.

There were of course many more people than on the picture but since the Saturday projection started with digital projections I didn't want to take a picture with a digital projector and as I had to leave early on Saturday I didn't want to attract attention by taking a picture, nor did I want to share my opinion about the fact to give priority to dvds projections in a film festival. I could not take a group picture as the first days (at least until I was there), it looked that people were separated in "Languages groups" during the activities. I hope to see a group picture taken by one of the participants.

As said below, next year, the festival should be organized in France.
