Hi all, I have recently won on Trademe in N.Z. a Spectro 9.5mm projector for NZ$41 and when it arrived I gave it a clean and ran my film thru it, I was pleased with it, does anyone know where to get a manual for it that is free? Cheers, Clinton

the specto is the cream of the crop for silent 9.5 films. I use mine every week, and the best part is they are very gentle on our precious old films.....

Hi Dino, I am really pleased with it too and was aware of the quality and availability of the projector when I saw it listed on Trademe, all it needed was a knob for the speed control which I used one I had from another model and a bit of a clean. I had a 400ft various titles film mainly to do with planes and a Betty Boop aswell.Just the start of collecting this format....

WOW,it's coming up 6 years since I won my Specto 9.5mm silent projector and so begun the 9.5mm collecting bug :-) I have over 100 films ranging from the 60ft up to a couple of 800ft films and the Specto is still my projector I use everytime. I've bought a few other 9.5mm projectors over the years but they all has something wring with them! Thank goodness for my Specto :-)

Time flies when you are having fun... doesn't it Clinton? It just takes one projector or one film and everything escalates from there. Enjoy your Specto!

Specto's are great projectors. They were totally made in England and are probably the best silent 9.5mm machines you can get. The quality of Specto's was so much better than Pathescope projectors.

If you have old 9.5mm films which have slightly splitting perfs the Specto will run them perfectly. Its mechanism is very kind to such prints, and, all in all, as Paul says, it was better made than the Pathescope range.
