I have just purchased one of these and although it was supposed to be in good condition,it doesnt hold focus ,rather the picture keeps going in and out of focus.
I suspect its a gate tension problem, maybe a spring needs replacing.Any ideas please, also I beleive parts are still available from a company in Germany, anyone know their address?
Thanks

David

Hi David,
the lost focus is a chronical problem of the Bauer t600 (and the whole T serie). Anyway you may control this problem. Bottom the arm where is the plastic pressure plate, there is a screw; if you turn this screw is possible to regulate the position of the the pressure plate. If it's hard to move this screw, you have unscrew an other screw which is in perpendicular position to the first one.

Hello,

if Ugo's tip is not solving the problem, I recommend that you change the grey plastic part, which presses the film against the film path and the film window. This plastic part is showing wear rather quickly. Furthermore please make sure that there is no sound stripe jammed in the film path near the film window. I have seen very often that remains of the sound stripe have hardened and jammed the film path, so that the film did not lay plain before the film window. This causes uneven focus, too.

Best Wishes
