Hi all,

My GS-1200 is getting hungry for a new bulb. I searched threads here and elsewhere many reccomend the EJL as a valid substitue for the ESC. Most of the articles I read on this topic were dated, does anyone have any new data/personel experience on this topic (the last few months?) Also, are the original ELMO ESC bulbs still available anywhere?

Regards, John

ESC's are discontinued so you'd better get an EJL. If you do find an old stock of ESC's it's worth bearing in mind some are not as good as the cheaper EJL's, others seem to be indentical but for the most part they give a far brighter light.

If you find a genuine Elmo ESC they are far brighter (and more expensive) than any other GS-1200 lamp.

Derann have stocks of a newly manufactured ESC, however I have heard mixed results from collectors who have bought them, but they are at least the correct voltage and wattage, together with having the correct size reflector, so I would suggest you contact Derann if you would like anymore information.

I thought they'd all gone now.
