what exactly is a p.com? is it the one with LED meters instead of the VU? is the xenon version also P.com? what was the last year they were made, and how can you verify if a certain one a late model?

Hi Eric!

You can easily find all the answers you need by using the search function on the forum. In brief, the Pcom was the last version of the GS1200, basically a version 3 machine but with a computer-base added beneath, improved amplifier and LED volume meters. There are no Xenon Pcoms.

Cheers,
Lars

Just want to add that there's a possible confusion about Xenon machines as one of the later versions was called Xenon-P, made for projection only and gutted of all recording facilities.

"P COM" is for Personal COMputer.
The P COM was the latest version of the GS1200. It has a console bottom his boby. Inside there is a Motorola processor that drives the recording. To program the start and the end of the record is possible and there are four memory units.
The machine has a lot of new features. There is a "like Dolby" noise filter and LED meters.
The "standard" recording section has an automatic "fade in-fade out" key (like that one in the GS800).
I'm selling a standard GS with LED meters and the fade in-out key. It's NOT a P COM.
