I have a small problem with a Canon P400 projector which I recently acquired. I had to replace the belt, which broke. But it seems when I turn the control to the off position. The motor and belt runs but that's all? When I turn the control knob to fwrd/rvrse then Lamp nothing happens which is really strange.

Could it be the transformer that could be the culprit as I have never come across this before!?! It is really baffling me!

Any help would be much appreciated!
