My wife and I were watching "Logans Run" on DVD, and so I quickly ran off and dug out my Super 8 scope print of "Logan's Run" and i compared the color on the print to what I saw on TV.

The color was brilliant and in fact, a little less dated than the color on the DVD.

It reminded me of just how much love and care went into the production of these Kempski prints. I've never ran into a poor one.

This return to the subject is two fold ...

Doug ...

Could you make a link to the original series of posts concerning the Kempski prints and ...

Could anyone give any history about Kempski himself? I remember we talked about the prints, but we never got into depth, (to my recollection) concerning Kempski himself.

BTW ... the DVD letterboxed version of Logan's Run was a poor transfer. The print wasn't completely squeezed down, leaving the people slightly tall and skinny. Watching it on Super 8 ...

is the ONLY way!!

Osi, if you are looking for a particular old posts, you can easily use "search" engine in this forum by putting "kempski" as the keyword. It will be easier.

cheers,

Thanks Winbert, Doug already took care of it though.

Does anybody have a complete list of Kempski's prints, feature or otherwise, (for instance, he released that 600ft reel of just the Chariot race from Ben Hur)?

That would be awesome to get ahold of!
