I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there. The response has been great! Lots of 16mm,8mm, and supplies. Dealers from all over the country will be there, with tons of film. If your not a dealer, load up your trunk with film to swap. Let’s make this a regular event. Dec. 4th and 5th at the Bolero Resort , in Wildwood N.J. The doors open at 10 both days. We’ll be running film all Saturday night. I still have 6 tables left at $20 per table. We have 32 sold already, so there’s lots to choose from. Admission is $5 for both days. Special room rates of $85 per night. ( Just mention Film Show) Many old time collectors and dealers will be attending, bringing stuff not available on the internet. Here’s a chance to make some connections. Reservations, call toll free, 877-226-5376.Directions are as follows.
From North-Garden State Parkway to Exit 4.(Wildwood) Follow straight to Atlantic Ave. Hotel is on the left approx. 20 blocks.
From West-Walt Whitman Bridge,(Philadelphia) to RT 42. Follow to Atlantic City Expressway. Expressway to Exit 7.(GS parkway)
From South- RT95 North to Walt Whitman Bridge. follow same directions as West.
From East-Park your boat anywhere
By Air-Atlantic City International Airport. Take Garden State Parkway south to Exit 7.

Remember, this is a film only show. There will be posters, DVDs and such, but only if the Dealer brings film. This is a collector’s only show. Support our hobby. Any additional information, email me at johnnyraoul@netzero.net

John,
Good luck with the convention. I had hoped to drive up from Florida but unfortunately will not be able to attend this time around. Please take plenty of photos and post here on the forum, a lot of people are going to be really interested in this one.

I'm going to try to make it there Saturday afternoon. Just looked at a map and it's a little farther away than I thought from Manhattan... Oh well, I guess it's closer than Ealing!

I'm all set to be there after lunch on Saturday.

I asked the hotel: they said the rooms and restaurant are WiFi equipped. (WiFi, FYI!)

I really REALLY wish my family and I could be there for it!

I hope that this won't be the only one! Our downturn in finances won't last forever and next years one will hopefully be a go.

Great good luck with this John!!!!!

Even though I can't be there in person, I'll be there in spirit. While my schedule won't allow me to attend this year, I'll make every effort to attend next year.

Best of luck and many thanks for organizing the convention!

Hi John, just sent you an email. Still figuring a few options for getting down there (Thanks Doug for the offer!) so hopefully one thing or another will work. Will be bringing early cartoon film prints, dvds, and some other genres.

Wish I could make it, guys! Commitments here keep me from doing so. I'm still looking for a GS1200, if you see a buy on one there, give them my name and have them contact me.

Thanks!

John,

I really would love to be there this time... but I can't. It is a long trip for me and I am already gearing up to be there next year! Good luck and kudo's to you for setting this up.

I'm hoping it will be a success and more will follow.

Bill

John yep I wish I could go but likewise it is a 3000 mile trip for me so I would almost need a couple of months advance to plan, so hopefully this one will go so well you can start planning the next one right away [Wink]

Anyway Hope it goes great and begins the the ongoing NJFCC

Hope everyone has a blast and would love to see what gems get dragged out of the non-ebay collections...

PS When the weekend is over we'll work out the thing with the films & parts machine..

So, sounds like this one might be a success! Couldn't make it, but if one is planned, say, 6-9 months out, I could plan... plus save some bucks to buy! Just a suggestion.

I've enjoyed it so far and had the pleasure of meeting John Black, John Grunberg, Gary Sloan, Shorty Caruso, Doug Meltzer, Harry Doebel, etc etc etc. Sold a few things, did a few trades...very gratifying to do this in person for the first time ever. If anyone in the general area decided not to head out today, please try making it tomorrow! Some pics to follow tomorrow night.
