Jose,i could be wrong but i think the site is still in its Beta stage and we most likely will see it change as they update it to an Alpha then final look.
Thier main concern at this stage would be to get the look and links on thier main pages up and running, things like the 16mm and 8mm lists may come at a later point, maybe after they have updated them.

I thought the amount of film-related coverage is quite positive and encouraging. I can imagine that carrying over the old lists of new product would be unwise in view of the number of films that must be out of stock. As we know, the lab problem is a very serious issue, but statements such as "the worlds biggest Super 8mm film distributor" imply that we shouldn't assume that the towel has been thrown in.

Thanks for your words friends, but when i see such digitalized and cool look website...bbrrrr.i feel panic about our super 8 world....i hope they solve their labs issues soon because there no other dealers like them Paul Foster apart but Paul not make new prints...
I hope the negatives are well controled..i need a print of "horror of dracula" its my favorite one [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
Sometimes i think i was born in a wrong era..aahh those 1950 and 60īs how i will like to live there..when the people was respectfull each other and cinema was king and....the doomed digital dont exist...film...pure and magic film....anyone have a time machine for sale folks?? Hey Jose,
sometimes I feel like you, but in the 50's and 60's were no internet and no 8mm-Forum [Smile]
So if we would live at this time, we wouldn't have the 8mm-friends all over the world... [Big Grin]

That's right Michael, but the 50's and 60's were the hay day of cine. I remember shop windows crammed with cine gear and package films. You could spend hours just looking at it all.

Jose - I think it should be stated that it isn't really the case that there are "no other dealers like them Paul Foster apart but Paul not make new prints" . There are a few other dealers that must handle comparable amounts of film to Paul, and of course Classic Home Cinema are maintaining a regular flow of new releases. You may not have seen my review of their 'Avatar' trailer on the reviews page.

I remember when I was a little kid you could walk into any department store and there was that vertical rack of Blackhawks or Castles, mostly 200 footers, some 400s.

We didn't have movies, so it wasn't even a question of "wanting that" or not, but at a time when your choices of entertainment were 5 channels of broadcast TV, radio or whatever LPs were in the cabinet it seemed kind of exotic.

Thanks Adrian for the info, yes i forget our dear Phil Sheard and others,i hope they can offer in the future the interest free credit like derann do,was a wonderfull way to buy films....i beg pardon to the other wonderfull dealers that everyday try to keep s-8 alive and i forget to mention. [Wink]

Please be aware that our new website is very much 'a work in progress'. We are in no way pushing our film side of the business to one side - hence the large 8mm and 16mm icons on our opening page.

I feel that our 'new look' website is much easier to navigate, and gives us a chance to incorporate the AV side of the business.

As always, your comments and thoughts are much appreciated, and I am always available if you wish to speak to me personally.

Kind regards
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Is there any way you could include a means of buying through the website - not just film but also the AV side of things?

-Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes that is the one of the 'work in progress' topics that we will be able to do, when everything is up and running.

Kind regards
Adrian

I think the new website looks highly professional - a significant improvement over previous designs. I only wish my website looked that professional :\

Im also VERY elated to hear that Derann has not abandoned printing super 8 features as there are more than a few prints I intend to purchase as funds become available.

Thank you Roy
It will only get better.

Kind regards
Adrian
