Does the Eumig 824 Sonomatic projector play super 8 and standard 8mm films?

It is a dual guage machine, super 8 and regular 8: A superb looking machine!

How do you change the sprockets to std 8mm or visa vesa?

If the machineis in S/8 mode: remove the lamp cover, pull out the two sprocket wheels and lock them inside the cover itself in the space provided, along with the feed reel spindle adpater; then turn the inching know on the rear of the machine (the side opposite the lens), until its white dot is upward; only know pull the pressure pad located between the lamp and the lens holder, towards the latter and pull it out; remove the film gate and secure it along with the other three elements. Put in place the Reg 8 gate and reassemble the pressure pad. And there you go. In case you have sound film, switch the track selector to "Track 2".

I have the 824 and some 810D's...both are pretty decent machines. The 824's being a little nicer....a little better sound...and an on and off switch. Never understood why the other Eumigs didn't have them. Plug it in and it's running...so youi have to unplug it every time you are ready to stop showing.
