Hello. I have a Bauer T610 and when film is projected it will show the frameline right in the middle of the projected image. Using the frame adjustment knob will allow the frameline to move up a little and down a little but not quite to be able to get the frame line down at the bottom where it belongs. Or top.
Machine was working fine 2 weeks ago and has seen little use. Anyone here familiar with this problem?

Hi Alan, please see my latest postings regarding this problem with the Bauer studio class series if you are visiting the forum. Thanks Andrew.

Hi Alan, could it be that the gate assembly has been moved from
it's original position?

I sold that projector but I remember emailing a few Bauer Specialists in Europe and when I described the problem the general consensus was that the claw was worn and because of that it moved out of position.
It needed a new claw and adjustment.

Hello again Hugh, Regarding this, it cannot be the actual frame moving as it is part of a fixed integral casting part of the machine. The Bauer machines are the quitest by far because all of the shutter claw movement is generated by nylon parts. This is fantastic for the noise output levels of these studio class machines but the trade off for the relative silent running is the cam and follower eventually wear causing the shutter claw position to be lower than was original, resulting in higher noise levels, picture unable to frame correctly and sometimes jitter.
