If I remember correctly, there is no additional footage in the 200' version. It seems that I would have added it to my 400' version had this been a possibility.

I agree with Carter. I don't recall any supplementary footage.

There are a few feature length Super 8 prints of The Wolfman out there.

Yes, Tom - no additional footage. But the cover art of the 200'er is so great, it's worth having in your collection!

A prestine reproduction of the Castle Films original box art is available in the Monster Box Volume 1 collection.

Does the 400'er compare better to the 200'er?. I've always felt that the 8-minute version was always one of Castle's weaker entries. The editing is very, very choppy and the narrative not too easy to follow (assuming this is 1974 and you've yet to see the full movie). I also think Castle's neg was way too dark.

Actually the 400' version includes the 200' version's quick paced opening and then extends the final search when Sir Talbot stalks and kills his son. This scene is not as choppy as the 200' scene. I feel the editing is comparable to "The Incredible Shrinking Man" where the editors used the opening of the 200' version intact and then extend scenes later on.
