I just watched my first films tonight on the Kodak 500 Model A and it was mixed emotions with three grandchildren ( I can;t hear it, I want sponge bob & I want to help. 5 & 3 year olds.

The reels I played are 5' 200ft. The subjects and Titles were... Four Short Cartoons, The Noon Whistle, The Giant Claw & last but not least "No Fires Please". All the grandchildern were interested in looking at the reels go around and the air coming from
the projector. It was a fun time... The Cartoon and Noon Whistle were the favorites.

I have 2 400ft reels and four more 200ft movies on the way & my Elmo F100 I am just waiting on belts so can try that projector out.

I'm glad I chose to do this.

I remember when my son was little. Sometimes when I showed him a silent he said "No sounds!"

I did a show for a crowd of small kids once and one of 'em walked up to me and told me he didn't like my movies, and told me to "switch over" to the ones he wanted to see.

-flash forward about eight years, and he's a teenager now, and grown even more obnoxious!

LOL!!

Great stories guys, and I can relate to all of them. Yes Steve, even that kid you mentioned- a projectionists worst night mare! That kid probably lives with a game remote in his hand [Roll Eyes] [Wink] .

James.

Well,

He's gown into one of those kids with a perpetual smirk on his face.

We all have needs: some might need a friend, some might need inspiration, others hope.

-this kid needs a slap!
