Michael, how reasonable are the prices for 16mm. As far as I know Lee's cameras don't stock any films now.

Robert,

I have no idea as I've never visited Umit's shop. Perhaps some other members will chime in here?

I've bought films from Umit, Michael, and he is a thoroughly nice chap,
interestingly in conversation on horror films, he and I were looking
for the same titles, but have no fears, he is a truly honest man
and a treat to speak to.

Can't get anything on the link ... Page not found ... Only me or what? I am talking about Lee's Cameras

I was under the impression that Lee's Cameras no longer had a shop.

I think that Lee's have bitten the dust,I did get in touch with someone about 12-18 months ago, while searching for a particular
film, and the stock they had was very meagre, I tried again later
on, and the site had closed.

For a time Martin Lee operated from his home, his 8mm films were bought by Independent 8, perhaps Barry can fill us in on this.

Umit is an extraordinary shop to visit, small but packed with films and equipment, but be prepared that some of the items on the shelves are the owners' own films, so if you see something you want, don't get too excited until you have confirmed that it's for sale!

So he has an actual shop? I thought CHC was the only one left ... Must check out next trip in London ... Address?

I haven't been up to the Umit shop for years but be advised, it's not primarily a cine shop but just a bit of an addition to his usual wares. Having a 16mm projector in the window seems to generate interest in what's inside and once in it is mainly confectionery (i.e. sweets and drinks).

Lee's Cameras have gone. Their last shop was in Holborn but went many years ago.
