I have watched this auction and at one time, was interested in bidding on it, and here's another case of a print going for a lot more than it's worth ...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/282677349392?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649

I messaged the seller, asking about color stock, as I noticed on some of the shots that it looks like the blacks have started to brown, which would designate Kodak SP, and I had hoped that it might be one of the Agfa prints of this title ... he informed me that he didn't think it was low fade.

Don't get me wrong, the color has held up pretty good, but it's already showing signs of fade, and so, the higher it goes, the more absurb it gets.

One of my all time favourite films, so I can well understand other fans getting carried away with the bidding.

First film I ever purchased, in the mid 1970s, was the 200ft black and white S8 silent release. Has to be one of the best silent shorts ever. Absolutely viewed it to death over the years.

Osi...I can assure that print is Kodak SP. If you are hoping to get the AGFA quality, don't bid.

I can say that because I have once made a comparison between AGFA vs. Kodak SP of this particular title.

An AGFA print will be seen like this:

Here my post about the above comparison:

Mine looks the same as Winbert"s. I paid $75 already mounted on a 1200 footer.

Thanks for those screenshots, Winbert, positive proof of it not being low fade, 9the one for auction). [Smile]
