I have started this on behalf of our new member, Caroline Tyson. Her request may have been hidden in an older set of postings.
Caroline has an Elmo ST-600M twin-track and it needs new belts. Can anyone post some pictures showing how they go and how many belts are needed?

Hi Maurice just 2 belts, one motor one top take up belt.

You need to take the flywheel off to fit the motor one but the top one is easy enough.

So is the motor one with the F wheel off but you need to sort of sqweeze the main/motor belt trough a little to go over the large pulley wheel.

I always found Eddies belts very good for the 600 feet Elmos.

Though as the new ones are round you need to adjust the 24 fps speed pot a little too.

Hope someone with one can do pictures.

Best Mark.

Hi Maurice I just got offered a set of square section belts from the states, for $11 plus post. Very good especially for owners over there.

Message me if you want some, other owners and I`ll pass the details on.

I will be honest I prefer the round ones as the original shape ones can sometimes twang about a bit and hit the shutter.

Best Mark.

Hi Maurice, thanks so much for starting this thread! I did not see it until you mentioned it in the other post. I guess I'm still getting the hang of the forum!

thanks for the links, Mark! I have an epically full work day tomorrow, but will spend some time looking as soon as I have a chance!

Thanks guys for you support and welcome here, I really appreciate it! [Smile]
